This story started with the pictures I took during a hiking excursion with my eight year old son in Mont-Saint-Hilaire in the spring of 2013. I then completed the story in the front yard of our house and on the kitchen table in the evening. It's also the first story that hints at the old commander's developing Alzheimer's.
